Welcome

The Peninsula Family Justice Council is a network of organisations including Family Courts, the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS), Lawyers and also professionals from Medicine, Social Work and Therapy.

It involves people from many different professions who need to work co-operatively and collaboratively so that the system achieves its aims to serve all families in Devon and Cornwall, by providing ways to resolve family disputes and to protect family members.

Families are at the centre of what we do, and our website contains extensive information, advice and contacts to help local families find their way around the system and access the services they need to help them deal with a relationship breakdown and its consequences.

The National Family Justice Council is based in London, and there are 39 local councils of which the Peninsula Family Justice Council are one whose function is to focus on local issues.
