Infant Contact: Family Justice Council debate and panel discussion

On 8th December 2010 the Family Justice Council, in conjunction with Coram, is holding a debate and panel discussion entitled ‘Infant Contact: Keeping the baby in mind'.

The debate will be held in Central London between 5pm and 7pm and will focus on the issues raised by recent research on the effects on infants in foster care of extensive contact with birth families.

The event will be chaired by the President of the Family Division, Sir Nicholas Wall. Speakers will include:

Dr. Danya Glaser - Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Professor Judith Masson - University of Bristol
Jenny Kendrick - Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist
