Issue 2 of the LFJC newsletter
Friday, 27 February 2009 10:45
This edition provides updates from the National Council including news from the sub-committees and working groups, responses to consultations, forthcoming events and a brief rundown of what was discussed at its last meeting.
There is also a short article giving the Council's thoughts on the decision to make family courts more open.
There is also lots of information from around the Local FJCs, including a more detailed look at what has been happening in Greater Manchester, Norfolk, the West Midlands, Devon and Cornwall and Cumbria.
The newsletter also contains two articles, both looking at the training of expert witnesses in court - one from a provider's perspective, the other from a user.
Finally, they have an informative report on the use of Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARACs) in tackling domestic abuse.
Thank you to all those who have contributed.
