We would like to draw your attention to the Law Commission’s latest Consultation Paper, Intestacy and Family Provision Claims on Death, which reviews the intestacy rules and the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.The Consultation Paper and related documents, including summaries, are available at www.lawcom.gov.uk/intestacy.htm. You may wish to consider submitting a response from your firm as a whole. We also value responses from individual consultees.
Responses to the Consultation Paper must be received by 28 February 2010.
